To all WRITERS: Regrettably, I am unable to review or otherwise offer advice on book, short story, or article manuscripts. For those who are interested in learning how to write or otherwise improve their craft consider purchasing a copy of the Writers Market. This massive tome is the bible for writers and gives many excellent tips and helpful insights into the writing/publishing industry. Consider too, joining the Florida Writers Association and a monthly writers critique group.
The last nugget of advice is to study the best authors in your genre. Try to figure out how they did what they did by dissecting their work. Study how they depict characters, scenes, dialogue, and pacing. This can be grueling, but the result–at least in my experience–can help elevate your work to the next level. Unwavering mental persistence is key, and often wins the prize before talent or any of the other natural born attributes some folks are blessed with. Best of luck to each of you in your writerly endeavors.
